Thomas Michael Malone, age 49 of New Brunswick, NJ, and Hurley, NY, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in New Brunswick.
 
 Born in Orange, NJ, on June 22, 1960, Tom grew up in Bloomfield, NJ. 
 
He was a freelance writer and loved to read and enjoyed following local sports.
 
Tom was predeceased by his father Donald. He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Doris Croker of West Orange, NJ and his cherished mother, Barbara Wanca and her husband Jim of Hurley, NY.  He was the beloved brother, of Dawn and her husband, Ben Fortunato of Tewksbury, NJ. He is also survived by his niece Caitlin, and nephew, Matthew, whom he adored.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
 
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, June 13, 2010 from Noon to 2:30 PM. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:30 PM.
 
Burial will be private.
