William S. Toth, age 79 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Tuesday, June 15, 1010 at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ.
Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Michael and Emma Toth. Bill lived in Middlesex Borough before moving to Whitehouse Station 35 years ago.
He was the supervisor of building and grounds, for the Middlesex Borough Board of Education for 33 years before retiring in 1991. He was a charter member of the Middlesex Elks Lodge # 1488 and belonged to the Farmers Sportsman's Club and the National Rifle Association. He was also a member of the Rockaway Reformed Church in Whitehouse Station.
Bill loved outdoor activities, especially golf, fishing hunting, and gardening. He was an extremely talented craftsman and his work was displayed in several shows. Bill was also an antique car enthusiast and a proud owner of a 1929 Model A car.
He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Toth, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of 58 years, his daughter, Deborah Butler of Whitehouse Station, formerly of Dayton, Ohio and her fiancé, Edward Pellegrino of Bridgewater. Bill is also survived by his brother in law, Joseph Sala of Rockaway, Sister in law, Mary Merola of Middlesex and his two grandsons, Ryan Carone and Matthew Carone and his wife, Kasey all of Dayton, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station with the Reverend David Ruisard presiding.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Rockaway Reformed Church or Our Lady of Lourdes Church would be appreciated.
