Richard S. Gutowski, age 81 of West Milford, NJ, died Sunday, August 11, 2019.
Born in Somerville, NJ, he was the son of the late Stanley and the late Genevieve (Chmielewski) Gutowski. He grew up in Whitehouse and graduated from Flemington High School. He moved to Kearney, NJ in 1968 where he lived for 30 years before moving to West Milford three years ago.
Dick served in the United States Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was an accountant, real estate developer and along with his wife, Pat, owned and operated, Uncle Lou’s Pancake House in Wildwood, NJ. His number one priority was providing for his family and he did that by hard work and determination. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather.
Dick is survived by his wife, Patricia (Connors) Gutowski, his son, Patrick Gutowski of Kearny, NJ; his daughter, Denise Palminteri and her husband, Louis of West Milford, NJ and his two wonderful grandchildren, Anthony and Meghan.
Inurnment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington with a date and time to be announced.
