Connie Cavaluzzo, age 88 of Raritan, NJ., died Saturday, September 17, 2005 at home. Born in Somerville, NJ, on February 14, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose (Giasullo) Zelano. Connie was a life long resident of Raritan. She was a communicant of St. Anns Church in Raritan. Connie had worked for American Velour Mills in Bound Brook retiring over 20 years ago. She had also been a sales clerk at K-Mart in Hillsborough. The most important thing in Connies life was being able to care for others. Whether it was family or friends, she gave of herself unconditionally. She was a kind and generous person. She loved life and her big heart, made a difference in the lives of all who knew her. Connie was predeceased by her husband, Peter Cavaluzzo who died in 1996; her brother, Angelo Zelano; and sister, Jennie Wolenski. She will be greatly missed by her nephew, Dr. Joseph Wolenski and his wife, Terrie of Whitehouse Station; and her 2 great nephews, who meant the world to her, Matthew and Alexander Wolenski. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 21, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Anns Church. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
