Louis R. Muniz, age 78 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Somerset Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center in Bridgewater Twp.
Born in East Orange, he was the son of the late Louis and Isabelle Muniz.
Louis lived in Basking Ridge before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1976.
He worked as a fork lift operator for Pabst Brewing Company in Newark before his retirement in 2005.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 843 in Newark. Louis had two passions in life, movies and fine dining. He appreciated watching movies of all genres and enjoyed passing the time soaking up the atmosphere of a good restaurant. He considered himself fortunate to have spent the past 14 winters in Huatulco, Mexico. Louis will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael Muniz and his wife Deanna of Whitehouse Station and Kevin Muniz and his wife, Shelia of Tinton Falls, by his sister, Alyne Borst of Union, by his three grandchildren, Ali Jade, Wesley and Allison Muniz and by his great granddaughter, Delilah Rose.
All services will be private and have been entrusted to the Kearns Funeral Home, Whitehouse.
