Karen Irwin

Karen Irwin, age 66 of Winfield Park, NJ, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.

 

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Olga Hotz.

 

Karen had lived in Jutland before moving to Winfield Park 7 years ago.

 

She was a member of South Ridge Community Church in Clinton where she belonged to the Single Moms Support Group.  Karen loved to cook and spend time at the beach.  She enjoyed being part of big social events but even a simple gathering of people made her happy.  She was devoted to her family and especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren. 

 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert in 1999.

 

Karen is survived by her two sons, Jason and his wife Courtney of Cranford and Michael and his wife, Jenny of Cranford; her daughter, Jessica Irwin of Hoboken; by her two sisters, Judith Hromoko and her husband, Michael of Brick, NJ, and Valerie Vangopoulos of Washington, as well as 4 grandchildren, Logan, Chase, Tatum and Madison with a 5th grandchild due to arrive by the end of July.

 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM at South Ridge Community Church, 7 Pittstown Road, Clinton, NJ 08809.

 

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888

 

Inurnment will be private.
