Glenn Wood, age 70 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
Born in Jersey City he was the son of the late Charles Wood and Enid Wood of Clifton, NJ.
Glenn graduated from Clifton High School in 1967 and resided there until he married. Upon his marriage he moved to Branchburg before moving to Whitehouse Station 25 years ago.
He was an amateur radio enthusiast and belonged to the Land Rovers Radio Club in Clifton, NJ. An avid skier, he was a longtime member of the High Life Ski Club. Glenn was blessed to have spent many enjoyable family vacations skiing in Vermont. His sudden passing leaves a void that will never be filled and he will be forever missed by all.
Glenn was employed by Warner Communications, Clifton prior to joining the Garden State Parkway as a Communications Technician. The Parkway merged with the NJ Turnpike Authority and Glenn retired from there in 2011.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his wife, Linda, his two sons, Brian of Bridgewater and Jason of Piscataway, and his brother, Keith and his wife, Laura of Lake Hopatcong. Glenn is also lovingly remembered by his sister in law, Gerry Farro and her husband, Dale Porter.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church, 500 US-22, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
