Obituary of Dorothy S Drozdoff

Dorothy S. Drozdoff, age 91 of Landisville, PA, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 20, 2022. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ella Mae Sheaffer.

Dottie was a longtime resident of Whitehouse Station, NJ before moving to Landisville two years ago. 

Dottie taught kindergarten and second grade for over 50 years, mostly in the Bridgewater school district. 

She was an active member of the Whitehouse United Methodist Church and was instrumental in the formation of the Bell Choir, serving for many years as its director.  She was musically and artistically gifted and even wrote handbell and choir music for the church. Dottie also enjoyed knitting and belonged to the Hunterdon Knitting and Crochet Guild in Flemington.  

She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed. 

Dottie is survived by her daughters, Leanne Kendig of Landisville PA and Melissa Drozdoff of High Bridge, and her nephew, Donald Josephson and his wife, Jennifer of Colorado Springs, CO.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 9:00 AM at the Whitehouse United Methodist Church in Whitehouse, NJ.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 25  from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to either St Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center or the Whitehouse United Methodist Church. 

Burial will be private.
