Jim Wei Chang, age 78 of Bound Brook, NJ, died Monday, October 17, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Taiwan, he was the son of the late Tony and Rose (Huang) Chang.
He came to the United States in 1982 and lived in Bridgewater before moving to Bound Brook in 1995.
Jim was a family man; he enjoyed babysitting his grandkids, spending time reading, watching Chinese news and dramas and growing vegetables in his garden. He loved to be surrounded by company, making memories, and sharing good food.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lily; his son, Lawrence, and his wife, Ling Ling Zhang of Bound Brook; his two daughters, Julie and Maryann Chang, both of Bound Brook; his brother, Michael Chang of Bedminster; his two sisters, Betty Lin of Flemington, and Helen Kao of Lebanon as well as four cherished grandchildren, Sophia Lin, Leon Chang, Precilla Lin, and Brandon Tai.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
