Obituary of Jane Jaeger

Jane E. Jaeger, age 88, of Whitehouse, NJ, died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Avalon at Bridgewater Senior Care Facility in Bridgewater, NJ.

Born in Plainfield, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Katherine O'Keeffe. She was one of the "O'Keeffe family triplets" born in 1930, featured in the "Plainfield Courier" for many years.

Jane lived in Martinsville for 38 years before moving to Whitehouse nine years ago.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville, where she was active in the Rosary Altar Society and in various church ministries. Jane believed in serving her community by volunteering at the Martinsville Library and with the Martinsville Rescue Squad.

Always active, Jane’s motto was “if you don’t use it, you lose it!” She loved keeping house, gardening, bicycling and spending holidays and vacations with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles in 1986 and by three sisters and one brother.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lyness and her husband, Gerry, of Whitehouse along with her six sons, William Jaeger and his wife, Barbara of Hershey, PA, Thomas Jaeger and his wife, Melissa of Hampton, Edward Jaeger and his wife, Eva of Trappe, PA, Robert Jaeger and his wife, Tina of Montgomery, Timothy Jaeger and his wife, Bonnie of Whitehouse Station, and Paul Jaeger of Pittstown, along with 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her two beloved triplet sisters, Jean Reilley of Lebanon and Joan Harding of Watchung and many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.
